Louise Tietjen
Rug hooking as we know it today developed in North America, specifically along the Eastern Seaboard in New England in the United States. Rug-hooking has been popular in North America for at least the past 200 years. One of the most devoted to this craft as well as one of my best friends is Louise Tietjen. Louise employs the time honored techniques along with fine wool hand dyed colors and a wonderful sense of art and imagination to bring forth truly wonderful work that I am proud to offer in my Artists & Artisans Store.

I love this rug! Louise did such a gorgeous job hooking it. It's an adaptation of an early rug. Hooked on linen, using 1/4 inch wide strips of hand dyed and "as is" wool. This is a nice large rug too, measuring 24-1/4 x 25-1/2 inches. This rug would be beautiful on the floor or hung on the wall. No matter where you decide to put it, will love this rug. $350. Includes shipping.
