Kim Sivak
Her work speaks for itself. Kim is a most talented doll maker. Her dolls are all hand sewn from mostly early antique fabrics, occasionally fabrics that look aged, but are newer. She also creates other original textile items including some extremely interesting amish cloth animals. These items are rag stuffed using 19th century snips of quilts with seeded cotton batting. Kim's meticulous attention to detail, her charming sense of old makes her a most welcome addition to our roster of American Artists & Artisans.
AAKS010 Early Brown Calico Pig by Kim Sivak $39.
I love this little pig made from mid 1800's brown calico and stuffed with snips of mid 1800's fabrics. He has early button eyes, and hand sew with all old threads. Kim has made "necessary repairs" that would be seen on a real early doll or animal made 100 years ago and had years of play. What a great little guy to add to your collection. $39. Includes shipping.
