AASMT044 The Eagle by Susan Mackey Tunnicliffe $60.
The bald eagle was chosen June 20, 1782 as the emblem of the United States of America because of its long life, great strength and majestic looks. It was then believed to exist only on this continent. Years ago Susan purchased a pair of antique eagle for display in her wonderful 18th century Philadelphia, Pennsylvania home. When she told me she made molds from those originals I asked her to make one for me, and a few more so that I could offer them for sale in my American Artisan Store. I kept one for myself, and set it outside in my garden. I love looking at it. It measures 6 inches wide at the base and about 8-3/4 inches high. What a nice gift idea, don't you think? $60. Includes shipping for 1 eagle.
